Untitled

This painting is 900x900mm in oil paint and polychromos crayon on canvas. The figure is the trace of a former piece that just didn't like the idea of being painted over.. no matter how many times I tried. I like to think that this has some special and related significance with the way that bodies, however made up or disguised, hold traces of our past. Marks that we learn to treasure/and or loath as yet another layer of this thing called life. The former piece was called "The body weeps, but we'll be ok," This piece is untitled, but it can be thought of as depicting a wild and passionate state of empowerment after the body. just. let's. go.
