With this blog, my aim is to post a slather of ideas, lines, colour and inevitably a little bit of babble. I would like it to be a place where Architecture meets Art, falls in love and procreates. This is my passion, brilliant, unguarded and unafraid.
If you'd also like to hear from me every now and again, you are welcome to subscribe to my mailing list.

I was given some herbs last week on the condition that I blog about them.. So here goes. Today I sketched the parsley. In an effort at abstraction I used a grid overlay to start colouring the definition between the nature of the leaves, ranging from lush to dried, and the stem connections between them. An interesting image I find.
Grid technique respectfully stolen from J. Raxworthy
Works in Progress 09.09.11
I've just started moving into my new painting studio and these are two works in progress for Sturt Business Centre in Townsville, North Queensland. It's such a treat to have the space to spread out and make magic!

Bird I move around you,
You move around me.
Mind closed to the world,
Eyes open for me to see.
Small enough to be hidden,
Large enough to be crushed.
Fragile feathers flattened,
Yellow beak now mush.
Bird you move no longer,
I move you to the side.
No one stops to notice,
As the path is not so wide.
