scapula haptico visual studies emily fong.jpg

Scapula | Studies made using touch as the main recptor for gathering information about this shoulder blade bone. Often our eyes can miss important detail that the hands can more sensitively receive. The hapticovisual and observational drawing method by Leonard Shapiro in Cape Town, South Africa, combines these senses very effectively. It was a pleasure to learn this method from him directly in a workshop in early January 2021.
