Floating Roof, Ronchamp

And I just can't stop thinking about and drawing it. The roof baffles me but it's so beautiful.

The surface textures range from very rough to very smooth which really varies how the light dances with/ reacts to them. The flooring is polished concrete which mirrors the fine strips of light that are allowed to penetrate through gaps in the walls/ doors. Perhaps it's the pedestrians on pilgrimage that have lent this place it's shine.
