The river when I arrived. You can see how I this drawing is very timid and careful. I can't say that was really my mindset at the time, though I remember thinking that I can't make a mistake with the proportion of the mountain ridges in the background because that is what orientates this city... I learnt quickly how this attitude/apprehension is futile in the quest to represent the alps. Just feel it.
