Polycystic Kidney Disease PKD | Animation | Modelling and Motion Graphics in ZBrush and Adobe After Effects

 

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is the focus of this short animation which uses a digital model of a comparison between a healthy and a diseased kidney connected to associated anatomical structures; aorta, vena cava, adrenal glands and ureters. In the initial planning stages for this project, the relationship between the aorta and vena cava poised to dance became the creative driver for both the visual composition and the music. An exaggerated colour palette was strategically chosen to enable the ease of viewing/ learning about  this debilitating medical condition.
