Open Human Anatomy 3D Model (Work in progress)
This work in progress will contribute to the articulated skull model within the Open Human Anatomy 3D Model project.
Three Dutch Universities and a Belgian University received a grant from the Dutch Ministry of Education to improve the world's presently only open 3D model of the human anatomy and make it more accessible for education. This model, the BodyParts/Z-Anatomy model is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribute ShareAlike (CC BY SA) license. Although the model already contains many anatomical structures, it is, in our view, not yet immediately usable for (university) education. The aim of this project has been for anatomists and artists to work closely with one another to ensure the anatomical correctness of this resource before sharing it widely with the world for professional, educational use.
